This picture had fruition in the depths of my mind unbeknownst to me. I had not a direction when my pen went to paper. Having a son whom served as a Medical Corpsman in Iraq twice; I do not believe the terror of the unknown ever left me. I do believe this picture was born out of and from the angels that carried him through to safety not once, but twice. As so did the angels carry to their resting place, our unsung heroes that lost their lives? I have an enormous amount of respect and empathy for the others who suffer with those losses. This includes white matting and a black or silver metal frame. It is 9" x 12", mixed media. This can be with or without the American flag. I inserted the flag in a replica for the competition I won. It will arrive ready to hang with a dust cover for protection.
